DIRECTIONS
By car

The Hotel Grohnder Fährhaus is located on the eastern side of the Weser opposite the village of Grohnde between the villages of Latferde and Hajen.
Coming from the B 83 (from Hameln), take the Emmerthal exit off the main road. In Kirchohsen, at the church, drive over the Weser bridge to Hagenohsen. At the crossroads after the bridge, keep right towards Latferde. In Latferde, do not follow the main road at the turning right of way, but continue straight ahead. After about one kilometre, a small road leads to the Grohnder Fährhaus hotel campsite.
Coming from Bodenwerder on the B83, turn right in Hehlen (about 4 kilometres from Bodenwerder). A single-lane bridge leads over the Weser to Daspe. Turn left at the crossroads after the bridge and follow the road to Hajen. Cycle through the village on the main road. About one kilometre after the village of Hajen, a cul-de-sac leads to the Land-gut Hotel Grohnder Fährhaus.

By train
From Hanover main station to Emmerthal station (S-Bahn no. 5, direction Paderborn, runs at regular intervals. It is only possible to take bicycles with you to a limited extent).

By bus
Buses leave from the bus stop Abzweig Grohnder Fähre (east side of the Weser) or Grohnde Kirche (west side of the Weser) towards Hameln and nearby towns according to the timetable.
By (canoe, rowing boat, motorboat)
At river kilometre 122.1 (jetty, slipway and moorings available); also ‘Yellow Wave’ jetty on the western side of the Weser at river kilometre 122.3.

In the season Wednesdays, Saturdays, Sundays at 10.00 a.m. from Hamelin jetty Flotte Weser; to Grohnder Fährhaus 11.45 a.m., to Bodenwerder 1.30 p.m. Wednesdays, Saturdays, Sundays at 5.00 p.m. from Bodenwerder jetty Flotte Weser; to Grohnder Fährhaus 5.50 p.m., to Hamelin 7.00 p.m.

Located directly on the Weser long-distance cycle path R 99; about halfway between Hamelin and Bodenwerder (about 12 kilometres each).
